These one-of-a-kind earrings are handcrafted from an authentic downhill ski, preserving a genuine piece of ski history as wearable art.

This unique pair features a portion of the original metal ski edge, allowing you to see and feel part of the actual construction that made the ski ready for the mountain. The ski’s layered structure is visible from the side, including the wood core hidden inside the ski. Adding to the character of this pair, the original stamped marking on the ski — believed to be a serial or identification number — remains visible, preserving a small detail from the ski’s past life.

The original ski top sheet becomes the front of the earring and showcases the graphics and personality of the ski. The surface has been finished to enhance the appearance of the original design while preserving the unique marks and character of the equipment. The reverse side reveals the original ski base, creating a piece that tells the story of how the ski was built.

Because these earrings include the original metal edge, this pair is heavier than my typical ski earrings. The added weight is part of what makes them special — they showcase more of the authentic ski construction and are a true conversation piece for someone who appreciates ski history, craftsmanship, and unique handmade jewelry.

The earring components are made from hypoallergenic stainless steel, providing durability, resistance to tarnishing, and comfort for most wearers.

Handcrafted in Lake Placid, New York — home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games and a community deeply connected to alpine skiing and winter sports history.

Perfect for skiers, ski racers, ski collectors, mountain lovers, and anyone who appreciates functional art made from authentic sporting equipment.

Each pair is individually handcrafted, and the exact earrings shown are the pair you will receive.
